Founded by designer Titi Ademola-Perez, KIKI Clothing is a fashion brand passionate about blurring the lines between traditional apparel and modern style. We create garments that fit with the needs and wants of today's international woman.
Our History
Business began life as an African-inspired Childrenswear brand, known as KIKI for Kids. The designs proved popular, although soon after, the company became inundated with requests for adult versions of the Girlswear range. The demand to evolve into Womenswear proved too strong to resist. KIKI Clothing, specialising in Womenswear, was created, with a small collection of Childrenswear available in-store, in Accra, Ghana.
Local Origins
Traditional bespoke tailoring has long been the mainstay of fashion production in Ghana, and although we offer the option to custom-make, our designs and our focus, is on high quality, ready-to-wear collections. KIKI Clothing is poised to meet the needs of modern, style conscious, discerning women.
With an emphasis on in-house production within Accra, Ghana, KIKI Clothing is known for its vivid fusions of West African inspired, mixed prints, combined with minimalist, contemporary silhouettes. KIKI Clothing's approach is bold, dynamic and effortless in style.
Global Impact
KIKI Clothing has been privileged to have our ready-to-wear designs, brought to a global audience, gracing the pages of various international publications, including The Daily Telegraph newspaper, ELLE Italia and US Vogue, in which KIKI clothing was photographed by world-renowned photographer, Mario Testino, and worn by Oscar-winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o.
As a fashion brand, we have been honoured to work with the International Trade Centre on various projects, including The Ethical Fashion Initiative, designed to give global attention to African artisans, with a strong focus on sustainability.
We were also proud to feature in the exhibition ‘African-Print Fashion Now’, which travelled to a number of art and design museums in the USA, and produced an accompanying book available through Amazon.
We will continue to shine a spotlight on African inspired print and fashion, and its place in modern design, which KIKI Clothing, and the wider fashion industry in Ghana, can bring to the world stage.
“After studying at the London College of Fashion, graduating from the American InterContinental University in Atlanta, Georgia, and interning in New York, with Betsey Johnson, I had a strong desire to move back to the West Africa region, given my Ghanaian/ Nigerian heritage.
Although born in London, I was frustrated with the negative representations of Africa in the global media, and therefore, passionate about showcasing a more positive, progressive and vibrant side of my part of Africa, through fashion.
Mixing classic cuts and a colour clash of African-inspired prints with clever tailoring is our signature. We are known for our unique way of mixing two different prints together, creating an array of beautiful, unique colourways.” –
